Freddy Fender (1937-2006)Prior to yesterday's Life! article about his death, I never knew who he was. But I was one of the many people who has been touched by his songs.
More than 5 years ago, I was crying (I can't recall why). Anyway, my then-boyfriend gathered me in his arms and sang:
Just remember, I love you
And I'll be there before the next teardrop falls
*swoon*
