Last week I had more things to blog about than actual time to do so. Which is a good thing, as it indicates that I actually have a life! Which is more than I can say for this week. In fact, my calendar is pretty empty, save for several friends’ departure dates.
Speaking of which, Yanshan's in Myanmar now. Since she left on a Sunday morning, which was also Mothers’ Day, most people were either busy or couldn’t wake up on time. It’s a good thing that she managed to have mini-farewell parties with most of her friends before she left. After seeing Yanshan off at the airport, Sufang and I hung out together. I think it’s the first time we've ever done this. Of course we've gone out together before, but it's usually as part of a group, never as a two-some. At the M1 shop in Bugis Junction, we found our ideal hand-phones . Hers was a multi-featured technological marvel (or as Tjin would say: "It also flies!"), whilst mine was a modest sms-friendly concoction, the Nokia 3315. Though we love these phones, neither of us plans to actually buy them. Though it would make a great birthday present...hint! hint! Afterwards, I went home and spent the rest of the day reading. Unlike most of my friends, who had big plans, I didn’t do anything special for Mother’s Day. Both my sisters spent the day with their in-laws while my parents went on a date. I wonder if the same thing will happen on Father's Day? ![]() 0 Comments:
