In ANR’s opening sequence, Capt. Willard is dreaming of the war: of napalmed jungles and helicopters flying around. As he wakes up from his nightmare the sound of the helicopters is replaced by the swoosh of the ceiling fan above his bed. But this sound is soon drowned out by the noise of an actual helicopter flying past his hotel room window.
After watching ANR, I actually dreamt about it. And when I awoke, I though I heard helicopters too. But when I was less groggy, I realized it was merely the sound of the construction going on beside my house. Damn, it could have been a dramatic event. But then again, nothing dramatic ever happens in this country. ![]() 0 Comments:
