Like most gods, all the IT deity wanted in return for answering my prayers was a suitable sacrifice. Apparently, massacring my hair did the trick. I now have e-mail access! Yay!

Geting a hair-cut is a good way to find out who your friends are. Casual acquaintances will give a horrified stare and then try (in vain) to cover it up with words like 'nice' or 'interesting'. Close friends will covertly try to figure out how you feel, and then either console or congratulate you. Real friends just scold you for getting the cut, cos they know that you're purposely creating trouble for yourself. (c;
